The triplet rhythm is really just a way of indicating swinging 16th notes against the steady not-swinging eighth-note drone.
Use the chord symbols as a guide for positioning your left hand. Most of the song is just block chords moving with the melody, with some embelishments here and there.
If you have trouble getting the high-D harmonic to sound in the second-to-last measure, you can just play the regular note on the 10th fret of the 1st string. That's the way I do it.
