Notice
This is a nice Mingus piece, very riff-esque. It can be heard on the Mingus and Friends, Mingus at the Bohemia, and Mingus Big Band's Gunslinging Birds CD.
You can play the first bar down an octave if it's more comfortable.
Solo on the whole form and treat the double bar as a repeat sign and the preceding bar as having a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. ending. The last bar is treated as a "last ending." As with any Mingus piece, end it however you want.
There are actually mordents on the first Bb in the regular sheet music, but PT doesn't allow for that, shucks!
Sorry that I don't have the riff from the original that opens the song (from Mingus at the Bohemia). The bass walks for most of the song.
