This is a rather difficult piece to play. In some music the pickups to the phrases in the passages such as part B are notated as grace notes. Jimmy Knepper puts 16th notes in the preceding bar, and being that this is the only way for PowerTAB to correctly play it back, I have notated such phrases this way.

The solos are on the form, half-time portions and all.

I will hopefully create a file containing horn arrangements for backgrounds to solos on various tunes.

One should listen to the recording for the correct dynamic swells and drum hits, this song really sounds great when the drummer sets up and finishes the horn phrases.

One can hear this song on the Mingus albums "The Clown" and "Reincarnation of a Lovebird" as well as the Mingus Big Band's "Gunslinging Birds."
