Notice
Next to the La Catedral suite, this is likely Barrios' most famous piece. Several versions of this piece exist so if some of the notes in sections B and C are slightly different from a score you may have at home, none are incorrect since at least 3 different versions have been published over various stages of Barrios' life and a couple more after his death.
This particular version was taken from a score collection of 3 Paraguayan dances arranged by Richard Stover.
This is a very difficult piece so I included LH fingerings in some of the more unusual passages. The ritardando and fermata in section A is much more pronounced than the midi playback indicates. This same dynamic should be repeated the second time through the main theme just before section C.
Good luck and enjoy.
