Bernard Albrecht goes for something of a 'less is more' approach here. What guitar playing there is is very basic, although the guitar interplay during the outro is stunning.
These parts should be very easy to play, especially as, on the recording, the guitars are played loosely, with no special attention paid to detail.
This is a perfect example of Peter Hook's classic drowning bass style.
The main riff consists of an open D string played along with arabic G string melody. This very much drives the song, especially as there is little guitar, so make sure you get it right.
Unusually, there are two bass parts, emphasising the importance of the bass in the overall song.
