On this song, Steve played his '77 Fender "Sticker" Strat through Carvin X100B amps. For the majority of this song, there is an 8th note slap-back echo. The signal from the effects send in the back of the Carvin head was sent to an SDE-3000. The Dry return was sent back to the FX return in the head, and the Wet return was sent to the FX return of another head. Each head had a 4x12 cabinet on it. The delay was set to 120 milliseconds with no feedback. This way, for every other note that was hit, the same note would echo out of the other cabinet 120 milliseconds later. This allowed Steve to "play against" the echos.
The solo begins with some trademark whammy bar antics, then flies into a melody played in soaring 6-part harmony. Needless to say, certain shortcuts had to be taken to fit all this in within Powertab parameters. I had to condense the main lead parts into three bars, and put one of the rhythm lines into the bass section.
