Descending "Legati" With Open Strings Making Use Of A Fixed Position
Metronomic indications may be subject to changes, according to the studentsĀ“s possibilities and degree of evolution.
In Exercise 59, apart from the work of the "legati" with open strings, SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE PAID to the TRANVERSAL MOVEMENTS [FROM (6) TO (1)] EFFECTED BY FINGERS1 AND 4. It must be borne in mind that the arm takes part in this kind of movement, thus facilitating the changes of position of the fingers.
Please note the use of TWO Staves. Carlevaro origally notated this exercise in two staves, to facilitate the reading of the 3 different voices.
The exercise was originally notated without Key Signature. I set the
Key to C# minor to minimize the accidentals.
