Notice
From the liner notes: "Orient Blue" is an interpretation of a Di Meola piece that appeared on the acoustic guitar trio's 'Passion, Grace & Fire' album. The sound of the bandoneon here, as opposed to the flamenco bravado of McLaughlin and de Lucia, lends a whole new character to the composition.
Al often performs this version at the start of his acoustic solos during many of his live shows. It's just a fantastic song, and one that, while not particularly hard to play, will impress anyone who hears it.
Al plays an Ovation Custom guitar on this piece.
No bass in this song. Bandoneon has been arranged for guitar here.
