Notice
By 1971, Todd was maturing (at the ripe-old age of 23) as a Ballad Song Writer, "Hope I'm Around" shows him breaking away from the 2:30 Standard format for Popular Music (at that time).
There are actually two different "Official" Versions of this song, the first appeared on "Runt" (1970), but was removed after the first pressings in lieu of his "Baby Let's Swing - Medley" taking it's place, and then the slower, more laid-back version appearing on "Runt: The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" (1971).
Both versions are identical in Chord form (though the earlier version has no Key Change during the Outro/Fade Out), and each Version was performed much differently. The Tab here is the slower/more bluesy (and better known) version, which appears on "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" LP.
Jerry Sheff is the Bass Player, John Guerin is on Drums. Rundgren plays the Piano, Electric Piano, Organ, and Guitar.
