Notice
Recorded "Live" at the Bitter End NYC 1978, simple Vocal and Piano rendition of this well-known classic. Not quite what McCartney did with his "Wings" Band (which was to simply show up somewhere unannounced), but Rundgren chose to tour small venues, Clubs and Bars during the recording of the Double-Live Album "Back to the Bars" in 1977. His Acoustic Set comprised of just himself on the Piano, which is a great complement to his other band oriented tunes.
There are three modes of thought behind this Tablature:
1) A Full Piano Score, Tabbed Note-for-Note from original Recording.
2) Consider this an arrangement for Two Guitars.
3) A "Classical" Guitar Score. Tune is Guitar Standard, as follows: (E, A, D, G, B, E), for Gtr 1 as Melody (R.H.), and use Gtr 2 (Tuned C, A, D, G, B, E) as Bass Line. Gtr 2 Low E String is Tuned down to make use of the Low Register Bass Notes for Piano Consideration, plus, those are the Pitch of the Low Bass Notes on the Recording.
"True Pitch" is the setting I used with Transcribing Tool, which simply means that the Recorded version of this song is (+0.14) of a half-tone too high... Meaning, to jam to the Rundgren Recording, tune Guitar (or other) DOWN slightly.
