"Running Back" was co-written by Jessica Mauboy along with the song's producer Audius and it is the first single to be released from Mauboy's debut studio album Been Waiting, expected in early 2009. The song features a rap by Flo Rida which he recorded in Los Angeles. The rest of the song was recorded in Sydney in 2008. A music video was filmed in Melbourne during early September 2008.
