Notice
I have transcribed the time signatures as per how I hear the hands of the magnificent Tomas Haake. For more info on polyrhythmic structure, refer to the Lyrics.
Meshuggah have a thing for excess; The intro is WAAAY easier to play on a detuned 6 string, which lets you barre the 7th fret instead of the 2nd. Also, Meshuggah typically use the powerchords with an extra high 5th (1-5-8-12) .
During the solo, I might be a little off with the hammers and pulls, but I'm fairly sure about the notes. The harmonics during the 10th and 11th bars of the solo appear to be from pick scraping at the 26th fret position.
Beware of following the score; there is a bug in PTed v1.7, where D naturals aren't having their accidentals shown.
Now just wait till PT ed v2.0, so I can include drums!
I'm pretty sure that the bass plays 9-flat5 chords during the chorus and tommy bit. My hands are too small to use the same chord-shape as the guitar- the shape I've transcribed is difficult to play cleanly. If you can, use the chord shape used by the guitar.
As with the guitar, many legato slides are transcribed as shift slides, because legato slides just sounds so whack in playback.
Sound guide: use ridiculous amounts of distortion, so that you lose all your bottom end.
