Traveling the World in search of the perfect Cup 'o Jo. "Espresso" was a CD-Single Release in Japan (1995), off of "The Individualist" Album/CD. The song documents a Worldwide whirlwind excursion with Todd and his buddies, all jacked up on various types of Caffeinated Beverages (What!?!?).
During the Final Refrain, Rundgren repeats the vocal lines "I need a Hot Espresso, I'm All Jacked Up" over twenty times very rapidly, turning into a desperate plea at first for a Hot Espresso, and then, another Espresso, then a double Espresso, triple, quadruple, quintuple, and so forth.... I found myself spinning around in my desk chair, to be stopped only by the headphone cord as it tightened around my neck. Whee-hee!!
A song guaranteed to work out your Triad Chord Chops. Because of so many variations on the Bass Line, I could not use any Repeat Staffs. The Bass Line is also very "Punchy" (great for Transcribing, hooray!!), lots of Stacatto Notes, also very "Funkadelic". The Notes are correct, but I may need to eliminate so much of the Stacatto (better safe that sorry)...
