This is the original version of this standard that was sung by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's". (Audrey didn't actually play the guitar in the film, though her fingering was rather convincing.) The Music was written by Henry Mancini, and the lyrics were written by Johnny Mercer. It won 2 Academy Awards for Best Score and Best Song. Henrey Mancini had this to say about Audrey's performance:
"Moon River was written for her. No one else has ever understood it so completely. There have been more than a thousand versions of Moon River, but hers is unquestionably the greatest."

Trivia

"Moon River" is a song composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) in 1961, for whom it won that year's Academy Award for Best Original Song. It is most well-known for being sung in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's by Audrey Hepburn, although it has been covered by many other artists. It became the theme song for Andy Williams, who first recorded the song in 1961 and performed it at the Academy Awards ceremonies in 1962.
