Hendrix displays incredible control over his guitar with this one, using the volume button to precisely control the volume swells. He overdubs with three other guitars to keep the sound thick throughout the piece.

If you want to imitate Hendrix's playing style (and your hands are big enough), use your thumb on the 6th string for chords

Starting on measure 37, Gtr I uses an Octavia and Gtr II uses a Fuzzface distortion pedal.

Starting on measure 77, Gtr 1's rhythm figure is moved to the bass score because of Powertab's limit of three staves per score. This is not a problem because the guitar is only repeating the rhythm shuffle until fade.

Starting on measure 91, instrument volume is brought down during vocals, then immediately returned to the previous level. In the score this shown where the lyrics are included. Noel Redding's throbbing bass was essential to keeping the song together, especially during the psychedelic ending. Make sure you've got a bass player that can keep the groove tight throughout the tune.
